Office of the Senior Vice Provost 

Michael McGoff, Senior Vice Provost - Strategic and Fiscal Planning, reports to the Executive Vice President and Provost. His responsibilities include oversight of the Office of Strategic and Fiscal Planning, which develops and maintains base budgets for the University's academic units, and developing strategies, assessments and information that guide decisions about University program development. Responsibilities include:

  • Long-term and yearly enrollment projections
  • Long-term and annual budget projections
  • Oversight of a regularized budget request process
  • Collection and analysis of data on key metrics that track progress toward strategic objectives including faculty contributions to mission
  • Tracking of University achievements relative to SUNY System expectations including assessment programs and performance funding
  • Long-term and annual plans for space utilization
  • Liaison to the University's facilities planning process
  • Liaison to Information Technology Services

In support of this mission, the Senior Vice Provost oversees the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment, the Office of Course Building and Academic Space Management and the Office of Athletics Compliance. He is also the liaison with the New York States Joint Commission on Public Ethics. In addition, the Anderson Center for the Performing Arts and the University Art Museum report to the Senior Vice Provost.
