Report of the President's Task Force on Undergraduate Education for the Digital Generation

The President's Task Force on Undergraduate Education for the Digital Generation was established in Fall 2009 to strengthen current undergraduate programs and to recommend new initiatives that will further enhance undergraduate education at Binghamton University. The task force included representatives from across the university and consulted widely to solicit ideas, suggestions and feedback. After compiling a list of ideas that could be developed into final recommendations, the task force surveyed the entire campus community once more to gauge campus support for various initiatives. In April 2011 the task force completed its report with a series of nine recommendations to be implemented in three phases. The entire report is available for viewing online at http://issuu.com/SUNY.Binghamton/docs/undergrad2011 or as a PDF at http://www2.binghamton.edu/academics/provost/documents/ug-task-force-final-52011.pdf. We encourage all members of the Binghamton University community, including faculty, students, staff and alumni, to familiarize themselves with the report.

On behalf of the task force,

Don Loewen, chair
