Immensely International

With more than 2,200 international students from 100 different countries, Binghamton University’s campus is rich with different cultures and perspectives. Binghamton has won seven awards -- and there are only seven -- for internationalizing the campus and its curriculum.

Great Location

Binghamton's suburban campus is located in upstate New York and features hills and wooded landscapes that are beautiful in every season. Binghamton is one of 11 college campuses in the nation to receive the highest score on Princeton Review’s “Green Rating” for environmentally-related policies, practices and academic offerings (Princeton Review, 2012).

The city of Binghamton is ranked 5th safest mid-sized city in the U.S.A., and students' safety is a priority on campus too. Binghamton is easy to access by bus, car and plane and is close to many cities, including New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, D.C. and others!

Excellent Academics

Binghamton University is nationally recognized by prestigious organizations, and admission is highly selective. We are smaller than a typical research university which means students have the chance to collaborate closely with award-winning faculty and peers. Our students go on to successful careers and pursue advanced degrees. And Forbes magazine recognizes Binghamton as #1 in the northeast U.S. and #4 in the nation for top-starting salaries.

Campus Life

Binghamton University is a vibrant, engaging campus with more than 250 student clubs and organizations, including the Chinese Student and Scholar Association, Bhangra Dance Team, Korean Drummers, Caribbean Student Association, Turkish Student Associations as well as many others. Read more>>

International students have the option to live in one of our five campus residential communities or off campus. Living on or off campus is a way to make lasting friendships with U.S. and other international students. You do not need a car; housing is convenient to bus routes and local bus transportation is free to university students.

A Best Value

Binghamton University offers an elite education and, because it’s public, at a fraction of the cost of U.S. private schools.

International students must submit documentation of sufficient funds to cover educational and living expenses for the duration of study, as financial aid is unavailable. Find out more about the cost of attendance.
