A Message from the Vice President
It is an honor and privilege to serve Binghamton University in the role of vice president for advancement. Each of my colleagues will tell you they have the best job in the world because they are part of an extraordinary campus on the move. They will share stories about extraordinary student quality, path-breaking research and growth of world-class infrastructure.
In truth, however, I have the greatest job at Binghamton because I get to work with you — our alumni, donors, volunteers, advocates and friends — to make our campus better every day.
Our worldwide network of more than 117,000 graduates stay connected to Binghamton by volunteering and participating in Binghamton University Alumni Association regional chapters and programs and events such as Homecoming Weekend, networking and mentoring opportunities, and special presentations and lectures.
Our donors also change the world every day through thoughtful, annual contributions to the campus through the Binghamton Fund or as change agents and leaders who advance our campus with larger outright or estate gifts.
As an alumnus, my University experience has had a tremendous influence on my life and career. Each time I arrive on campus, I am reminded of my time in the classrooms, the community-based programs that benefit my family and the world of opportunities available to students. I marvel at how so many different paths led each of us to this campus in upstate New York and how we now reach around the globe to make a difference.
Binghamton is systematically strengthening the value of my degree as we continue to achieve successes on the path to premier: new programs and degree paths; new buildings, classrooms and laboratories; ongoing investment in our faculty growth and quality; and a commitment to access, quality, diversity and inclusiveness across our student body, faculty and staff. We are a campus on an incredible trajectory.
Each time you get involved, get informed, make an investment or show your pride, you are investing in our present and our future.
I am proud to be a part of all this and hope you will join me in making a difference. Check out our webpages. Give me a call. Send me an e-mail. I'd love to hear from you.
