Homecoming Sept. 20-22: Register now!

By Steve Seepersaud

Homecoming 2019 will be one to remember! There will be more celebrations than ever, and we’ll be more visible in the local area.

Make plans to come back to Binghamton for a weekend of fun, Friday-Sunday, Sept. 20-22. All alumni and their families are welcome. We’ll have something for everyone.

Our milestone celebrations will be the headliners of the weekend:

  • 50th anniversaries for the Decker School of Nursing and the School of Management
  • Harpur College’s 70th anniversary
  • Golden Reunions Celebration (for the Classes of 1949-69)
  • Class of 1989 (30th anniversary)
  • Class of 1999 (20th anniversary)
  • 20:1 (15th anniversary)
  • Omega Psi Phi (50th anniversary)
  • Pi Lambda Phi (30th anniversary)
  • Sigma Chi (5th anniversary)

We know our alumni like downtown (after all, it’s a favorite student hangout), so we’ve added the first-ever Homecoming block party. Sponsored by Bearcats of the Last Decade, this gathering is open to all, and it will take over Gorgeous Washington Street Friday evening. We’re back downtown the following night with another Bing Brews and Bands.

If you’ve been to Homecoming and you’re looking for the traditional favorites, rest assured; those are on the calendar again. Come back for Tailgate, men’s soccer, TIER Talks, the 5K run/walk and the Black Student Union Fashion Show.

Whether this will be your first Homecoming, or you return every year or every so often, you need to be here. Visit the Homecoming website to see the schedule and register now. Once you’ve signed up, keep the momentum going and reach out to friends.
