What a year! It has been quite a ride. Last April, we introduced Bold.Brilliant.Binghamton — The Campaign for Binghamton University to the world through a one-of-a-kind, entirely online launch. Never before had a University used technology so innovatively to kick off a fundraising campaign. Twice as many people attended — 1,557 from 22 countries — as did for the launch of our previous campaign, Believe, yet we spent less.
Bold.Brilliant.Binghamton captured the attention of national media and will serve as the model for future campaign launches. Since then, donor participation has soared. As of the middle of this month, Bold.Brilliant.Binghamton has enrolled nearly 30,000 donors and secured six commitments for more than $1 million.
But, our work isn’t finished. Because Believe was so successful, surpassing its goal by 20 percent and wrapping up a year early, we set a high bar for Bold.Brilliant.Binghamton with a goal nearly three times higher. In a little more than a year, we need to meet that $95 million mark — and to do that, we need your help.
Bold.Brilliant.Binghamton — The Campaign for Binghamton University sustains the unique learning environment that has opened the world for Binghamton’s 100,000 alumni. It supplies essential funds to faculty conducting innovative research that improves our lives while strengthening the region’s economy and industries. And, it allows the University to be flexible as it reacts to an uncertain economic climate.
