78-year-old earns PhD
More than a half-century after earning his master’s degrees, Kishen Kapur received a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University in May.
Commencement featured four student speakers
Holly Wendt spoke at the Graduate School ceremony, Natalie Sena spoke at the Sunday morning Harpur College ceremony, Lindsay Gina spoke at the professional schools' ceremony, and Renee Lasher spoke at the Sunday afternoon Harpur ceremony.
Graduate's dancing takes her around globe
Erin Stanley’s journey to graduation has taken her to places such as China, as part of a summer dance course led by Theatre Prof. Fred Weiss. She has been to Ireland, Austria, Germany and all around the world as a member of the renowned dance troupe Galumpha.
Don't miss Homecoming 2009
During Homecoming weekend (Oct. 2-4) we’ll have special activities for the classes of 1959, 1969, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1999 and 2009, as well as gatherings for young alumni (2004-08), and geology and philosophy majors. This year, Homecoming will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Dickinson Community, the 30th anniversary of the Caribbean Student Association, the 20th anniversary of Pi Lambda Phi, the 20th anniversary of the African Student Organization and the 25th anniversary of the apartment communities. There will be reunions for Telefund callers, Call Center SIAs and Rosefsky scholars.
