Make plans to join us for Homecoming
Even though March Madness gripped the Binghamton campus, we're still hard at work on planning this fall's Homecoming weekend. We hope to see you and your families on campus Oct. 2-4.
During the weekend, Dickinson Community will celebrate its 50th anniversary. On Friday, Oct. 2, we invite Dickinson alumni to come home and relax in the Hospitality Centers staffed by current residents. Don't miss Open Mike Night; it's your chance to get on stage and relive your college days through stand-up, music, or whatever you choose. The next day, the Hospitality Centers will be open all day long; current residents will give building tours. Dickinson Dining Hall will be the site of a special alumni luncheon. You can be a player or fan at Co-Rec football on Saturday afternoon, then join the DC Players for a unique theatre experience on Saturday night. The Dickinson festivities close with a Sunday brunch.
Also at Homecoming 2009, the Caribbean Student Association will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a social on Saturday afternoon for current and past CSA members; the group will also participate in Tailgate '09 - a large outdoor barbecue before the men's soccer game on Saturday (last year's tailgate pictured below).
Student Information Assistants will celebrate their 10th anniversary; join fellow SIAs and meet the current staff at a late-night gathering. Calling former Telefund callers! See the new Telefund space on campus and meet current staff members and callers at a Saturday open house. Also, the apartment communities will have a 25th anniversary celebration.
The Young Alumni Reunion will bring together the classes of 2004-08; tailgate with friends then head downtown for a night to remember. And, the Class of 2009 will gather at the Zero-Year Reunion. Party at the tailgate and soccer game before hitting the scene downtown.
If you'd like to help with planning reunion activities, contact Rose Frierman, senior director of alumni and parent operations.
