Join us for Homecoming 2014: Oct. 17-19
By Steve Seepersaud
You're on social media and you've seen what your college friends are up to. You've surfed the Web and seen how the University has changed in the years since you graduated.
Seeing people and places in person is always better! So be sure to join us on campus Oct. 17-19 at Homecoming 2014 because life wasn't meant to be lived on a computer, phone or tablet!
All alumni and their families are welcome at Homecoming. Join us for a full weekend - or a day - of events including Tailgate '14, a men's soccer game, Black Student Union Fashion Show and Greek God. We'll have opportunities for alumni to share professional experiences with current students, including Pre-Med and Pre-Law panels, an Alumni of Color networking event and the 14th annual School of Management Mentoring & Networking Event. Homecoming 2014 will also include the EOP 45th Anniversary Luncheon, Decker School of Nursing Homecoming Simulation Elimination, and celebrations for the Class of 1964, Bearcats of the Last Decade (BOLD), Pi Lambda Phi and the Pep Band.
You can see our schedule of events at the Homecoming 2014 website. You can also help ensure that our event is a success! Homecoming is always more fun when you return to campus and see friends who made your college years so special. Reach out to classmates by e-mail, phone, social media, postcards, letters — or all of these methods — to encourage them to attend Homecoming. Imagine how much fun it will be to relive your Binghamton experiences while making new memories that you'll treasure for years.
If you have any questions, contact the Alumni Relations office by e-mail or at 607-777-2424. We look forward to seeing you in the fall!

NEW SEASON, NEW JOB? To help you move ahead in your career, the Alumni Association offers two LinkedIn groups. Make new connections in our Professional Network group and search for jobs posted by alumni in our Job Forum group (and share postings if you have them).
SHARE YOUR EXPERTISE WITH US! The Alumni Relations office is asked to recommend alumni who are expert speakers. If you are well-versed, because of your education and professional experience, in subjects including national security, politics, technology, career networking, environmental studies or etiquette, please contact Melinda Holicky, associate director for volunteer engagement. Include your name, class year, and a brief description of your experience and expertise. Supporting material could include a c.v. or link to your website.
The Alumni Association and Uncommon Goods (founded by David Bolotsky '85) offer the opportunity to purchase banks made from mailboxes salvaged from Newing Dining Hall. This can be a great keepsake of your time as a student at Binghamton. Banks also make great gifts! Purchase a bank today.
