Mellor

Ronald J. Mellor, distinguished professor of history at UCLA, left, with Harpur College Dean Don Nieman, spoke on the topic of "East Meets West: Encounters Along the Silk Road" last November in Casadesus Hall in the Fine Arts Building. Mellor examined the rich trade between China and Europe via Central Asia and the Middle East that flourished for more than a millennium and played an important role in the emergence of the Modern World.
