Visual Media Center

Binghamton University's Art and Design Department houses the Visual Media Center (VMC), which offers various resources and services for art students, faculty and staff such as:

Large format digital UV printing
Unique digital printing on a variety of substrates from 60" roll paper to .5" thick substrates such as wood, glass, metal, fabrics etc.. 

Laser Cutter
Available resource that transforms vector files into physical engraved designs on a variety of substrates.

Photography Studio
Art and Design students have access to the lighting studio for creative projects as well as artwork documentation. 

Alternative/Historic printing darkroom
A small analog studio set up for darkroom printing and alternative/historic photography printing is accessible to students enrolled in photography courses or independent studies.

The VMC also offers scheduled workshops and class demonstrations for both training and educational purposes. For reservations or services inquiries, contact Marc Newton.

Hours of Operation: 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday - Friday.
