A native of Cedarhurst, NY, Neomie Friedman played soccer at Binghamton from 1990-93. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology and Hebrew in 1994.
A prolific goal scorer with unmatched intensity and power, Friedman steered the women's soccer program to four of its finest seasons - shattering school records along the way.
She graduated as the school's all-time leader in goals (60), assists (21) and points (141). During her tenure, Friedman single-handedly accounted for nearly 40% of her team's offensive production. After amassing more than a goal per game in 1993, Friedman was named a first-team regional All-American. She was a three-time All-State selection, and a two-time All-SUNYAC and All-Region choice.
At forward, Friedman led the 1991 team to the program's first-ever appearance in the NCAA tournament, punctuated with a top-10 national ranking. One year later, her 15 goals carried Binghamton to its first SUNYAC crown. Her senior season featured a school-record 22 goals in 19 games, and ended with a fourth straight post-season tournament berth. Friedman was equally honored away from the soccer field, earning the SUNYAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award in 1993, and an ECAC Merit Medal in 1994.
She was selected as Binghamton's "Athlete of the Year" in 1993-94.
