Immediate Release: April 9, 2004 EASTON, Pa.. - Senior Keith Hendrickson (Syosset, N.Y.) shot a tournament-low even-par 72 and sophomore Aaron Ungvarsky (Wilmington, Mass.) made the most of his first start of the season, leading Binghamton to an opening-round 296 and a one-stroke lead after the first 18 holes of the Lafayette Invitational. The Bearcats lead American (297) and the rest of the 24-team field, heading into Saturday's final round at Center Valley Golf Course. Hendrickson
had three birdies on the day, and sits in a five-way tie
fors first among 125 golfers. Ungvarsky, who cracked the starting
lineup after winning a playoff round back home, was just one
shot off the pace at +1. Freshman Jeff Wolniewicz (West Seneca,
N.Y.) shot a 75, senior Joe Kunz (Webster, N.Y.) fired
a 76 and sophomore Kevin Crawford (Lockport, N.Y.) had
the kick-out score of 79. |
