Men's Basketball Post-Game Quote Sheet
Binghamton 103, Brockport 62
November 8, 2004

Head Coach Al Walker

"Following the St. Rose Game we had three consecutive practices where we worked extraordinarily hard. I felt much better with the way we came out tonight and I believe that this was a major step forward in reaching where we need to be as a team. This is a very good place for us to build from."

"We demonstrated the commitment and energy on the defensive end that is necessary to compete at the Division I level. After tonight the level of competition will increase dramatically and we need to be up to the challenge."

Junior Guard Schafer Jackson

On his game-high 23 points, including 5-of-8 three-pointers:

"I was just open. That's why I am here. It always feels really good to have the crowd behind you when you do something well."

Senior Center Nick Billings

"We came out with a lot more energy than we did the other night. We were determined to get the job done tonight. There are still some more things we need to work on, but I think tonight you saw a glimpse of how hard we've been working in practice. This is more of what Binghamton basketball is supposed to look like."

Senior Forward Billy Williams

"It's still early and I think we still have to work to become much more fundamentally sound. We don't want to be perfect right now. When it gets closer to the end of the season is when we want to be playing our best ball. Right now, we are still becoming the team that we need to be."
