Men's lacrosse signs two more players to 2005-2006 NLIs

The Binghamton men's lacrosse team has announced the addition of two more players, both of whom will begin their freshman seasons next spring. Each of them signed a National Letter of Intent.

William Snyder (Buffalo, N.Y.) is a three-sport athlete who also competes in football and basketball. He is a captain on both of his lacrosse and football teams.

"Bill is a typical All-American guy, excelling in both the classroom and on all three athletic fields" head coach Ed Stephenson said. "He has shown leadership skills throughout his career. We look forward to working with him this spring. I think Bill will add a tenacity and ruggedness on the field."

Kevin Joy (Camillus, N.Y.) is a National Honor Society student at West Genesse High School. As a junior he played midfield on the undefeated West Genesse team that won the state championship. Kevin's older brother, Brian was an All-American at Hobart while current Binghamton head coach Ed Stephenson was an assistant coach on the team.

"We are thrilled to be getting a player of Kevin's caliber from the most storied high school program in the country," Stephenson said. "We look for Kevin to compete immediately for a position on one of our top two midfields. Both of these guys round out a recruit class that has set a new bar both academically and athletically."

Binghamton now has seven new players on its roster for the 2006 season. Earlier during the off-season, Chris Mulheron (Canadaigua, N.Y.), Jake Boyce (Pittsford, N.Y.), Duncan Streeten (Corning, N.Y.), JP Wioncek (Beverly, Mass.) and John Dreska (Rockville Center, N.Y.) also signed National letters of Intent.
