Binghamton loses home finale to Quinnipiac 24-2

VESTAL, N.Y. — Senior attacker Mike Baglio scored a game-high five goals, leading Quinnipiac (6-4, 2-2 AE) to a 24-2 win over Binghamton (1-6, 0-3 AE) in America East men’s lacrosse action this afternoon. The contest marked the final home game in Binghamton’s inaugural lacrosse season.

Quinnipiac, which jumped out to a 7-0 advantage with 4:22 left in the opening quarter, also got four goals each from junior midfielder Mike Baglio and senior attacker John Giordano. Binghamton got a pair of first-half goals from freshman midfielder James Savich (Endicott, N.Y./ Maine-Endwell).

The visiting Braves led 13-2 at the half and went on an 11-0 rampage during the final 30 minutes. Also recording multiple-goal performances for Quinnipiac were sophomore attacker Andy Pelletier (three goals) and senior midfielder Jim Lollo (two goals).

Binghamton’s final regular season game is next Saturday at Vermont at 1 p.m.
