Stephenson and McKeown receive national weekly honors

VESTAL, N.Y.-- Following its 7-6 double-overtime upset at No. 8 Towson on Saturday, the Binghamton men's lacrosse team has picked up a pair of weekly honors. Senior goalie Kevin McKeown (Brewester, N.Y.) was named an honorable metion National Player of the Week by Inside Lacrosse while fifth-year head coach Ed Stephenson was named CSTV's College Coach of the Week.

McKeown, who was the America East Conference Player of the Year in 2004, made 15 saves against Towson including two critical stops in the first sudden-death overtime period. Stephenson, who was the America East Conference Coach of the Year in 2004, recorded his first-ever win over a Top 10 program with the triumph over the Tigers.

Binghamton heads to Villanova on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
