For
Immediate Release: September 13, 2006 Despite
outshooting Lehigh 12-8, the Bearcats were unable to capitalize
on any of their opportunties near the net. In goal, however,
redshirt freshman Jason Stenta (Binghamton, NY) made three
saves to secure the first solo shutout of his career. The scoreless deadlock is the Bearcats first since October 30, 2003, when they played to a 0-0 draw at Vermont. Binghamton also played to a 0-0 tie against New Hampshire in the first round of the 2004 America East Tournament, before winning the decisive shootout 3-2. Binghamton returns to action on Saturday at the West Gym Field when it hosts Hartwick at 2 p.m. |
