Binghamton loses pair of matches to conference opponents
April 12 Stony Brook 4, Binghamton 3
On
the road, the Bearcats dropped a narrow decision to the Seawolves
in a possible preview of an America East tournament matchup.
Junior Brad Davidoff (Roslyn) posted a 6-0, 7-5 win at third
singles, and also teamed with classmate Brad Sherwood (Bronx/Fordham
Prep) for an 8-6 victory at second doubles. Sherwood earned
a 6-4, 7-6 (7) win at fifth singles, and senior Evan Gotlob (Lido
Beach/Long Beach) won his match at the sixth spot, 6-3, 5-7,
11-9, but Stony Brook captured two of three doubles matches to
earn the deciding point.

13 Hartford 5, Binghamton 2
Against
the frontrunner in the America East Conference, BU managed just
two singles wins and one doubles victory in the team defeat.
Juniors Brad Davidoff (Roslyn) and Brad Sherwood (Bronx/Fordham
Prep) again provided the spark, winning their singles matches
at the third and fifth spots, respectively. Davidoff is now
19-4 overall after his 6-4, 6-2 win. Sherwood scored a 6-2,
6-1 victory. |
