Hanegby
scores big win but Bearcats lose at UMBC, 5-2
Baltimore,
Md. - Freshman singles player Dan Hanegby (Herzeliya, Israel)
steamrolled one of the top players in the region, but the Bearcats
still suffered a 5-2 loss to conference rival UMBC. Hanegby raised
his overall record to 20-5 with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Josef
Novotny, who was ranked No. 4 in the Northeast Region (Hanegby
was ranked 19th in fall). Earlier, Hanegby teamed with senior
Steve Spencer (Plantation, Fla.) for an 8-4 win at first
doubles.
Binghamton
next hosts Fairfield on April 2.
