Bearcats
steamroll America East foes, topple New Hampshire and Boston,
7-0
BOSTON,
Mass.. - Concluding a busy string of four matches in three days,
BU (9-6) ran its win streak to four with a pair of 7-0 victories
over America East foes New Hampshire and Boston University on
Sunday. Playing indoors at Boston's Track and Tennis Complex,
BU won 17 of the 18 matches contested, dropping only a doubles
match against the Terriers.
Freshman
singles player Dan Hanegby (Herzeliya, Israel) won twice
to raise his overall record to 24-5. Hanegby posted a 6-2, 6-2
win against New Hampshire and a 6-4, 6-2 victory against Boston,
and has now won seven straight dual matches. At third singles,
sophomore Brian O'Connor (New Rochelle, N.Y.) dropped
just five games in four sets, winning twice to improve to 18-7
on the season.
Binghamton
has a match at Vermont on Tuesday and a big test against rival
Stony Brook on Wednesday.
