Notre Dame College (2000)

The 2006-07 season will mark a new era in Binghamton softball program as first-year head coach takes over at the helm for the Bearcat women.

Brian arrives from the University of Dayton, where she was the top assistant coach the past two seasons.

Before arriving at Dayton, Brian was a college head coach for four seasons, including three seasons at her alma mater, Notre Dame College. Under her leadership, the Falcons set the school record for wins in a season twice (2002 and 2004) and advanced to the American Mid East Conference playoffs for the first time in 2004. Brian was named the Mid East Conference North Division Coach of the Year in 2004.

In 2001, Brian launched her college coaching career as the head coach at Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She led her squad to 25-13 record and an appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Pointers were ranked No. 22 in the nation during the season.

Brian is a 2000 graduate of Notre Dame College, where she earned her bachelor's degree in marketing. She a two-time NAIA Academic All-American and was also an All-American Mid East Conference selection at catcher.

This past May, Brian completed her master's degree in education at the University of Dayton.

Shannon St. Clair begins her first season as an assistant coach at Binghamton.

St. Clair comes directly from Cleveland State, where she was the graduate assistant coach this past season. Her primary responsibility was working with the infielders and she also assisted in the recruiting process. The Vikings finished the 2006 campaign 38-15 and placed second in the Horizon League.

A 2005 graduate of Dayton University, St. Clair earned her bachelor's degree in sports management and was a four-year infielder on the softball team. In her senior season with the Flyers, she started all 39 games at shortstop, batted .275 and posted a .461 slugging percentage. In addition, St. Clair finished second on the squad in triples (2), home runs (3) and on-base percentage (.440). During her junior and senior seasons, Brian was Dayton's assistant coach.
