Binghamton signs transfer from Centenary

VESTAL, N.Y.--The Binghamton softball team has received a financial aid agreement from Shannon Fleishman (Bath, N.Y.), a transfer from Centenary College (La.). She will join the Bearcats for her junior season next spring.

Originally from New York, Fleishman had an outstanding career at Haverling High School. She was a five-year varsity starter from 1996-2000 and finished her career with 803 career strikeouts, a record of 62-12, 11 career no-hitters and a perfect game in 2000. In addition, Fleishman was named all-state in 1997, 1998 and 2000.

“We are pleased to have Shannon join our program,” Binghamton head coach Holly Brown said. “We originally recruited Shannon when she was a senior in high school. Shannon has two years of Division I experience at Centenary College of Louisiana. She will add strength and versatility to our pitching staff next year.”
