Box Score Against Niagara, BU held on for a 30-20, 30-23, 26-30, 25-30, 15-11 win. Brody led all players with 21 kills. She also had 23 digs. Junior outside hitter Katie Robertson (Ancaster, Ontario) collected 15 kills and sophomore middle blocker Jacki Kane (Centennial, Colo.) added 13 kills and 12 blocks (3 solo). Meffert totalled 53 assists and 19 digs. "It was a back-and-forth match," head coach Glenn Kiriyama said of the Niagara win. "We did an aggressive job of hitting and we also played a good scrappy defense with a lot of digs. It was a nice win for us." Binghamton hit .316 in the pivotal fifth game. Brody
was the lone BU player named to the all-tournament team. The
Bearcats went 1-2 in the two-day event. |
