Score "It was another tough loss for us tonight," BU head coach Glenn Kiriyama said. "We aren't executing as well as we want to right now. The team is slowly improving, though, and hopefully we will be better for the final stretch of matches." Maine was led by freshman Leah Guildinger, who registered 15 kills with just two errors (.394). Freshman hitter Kaili Jordan added 13 kills. Sophomore setter Carmen Gabriel recorded 28 assists and a match-high 11 digs. Sophomore Jennifer Smith (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) led BU with 12 kills. Sophomore hitter Michele Heck (Chicago, Ill./Resurrection) added 10 kills and eight digs. The Bearcats, however, struggled on offense, accumulating 27 attack errors and hitting just .106 for the match. Binghamton will head to Albany on Sunday for a 2 p.m. non-conference match against Siena. |
