Junior center Nicole Dypolt (Calgary, Alberta/ Bishop Grandin) tied a career-high with 12 points while junior guard Kate Townley (St. Paul, Minn./ Cretin-Derham Hall) added 10 points to go along with six assists and two steals.

Things looked grim for the Bearcats early in the second half, as they trailed 41-31 with 18:17 remaining. Aided by a 7-0 run, however, Binghamton trimmed the lead to 42-39 with 14: 48 left.

Binghamton caught up with 4:10 left to go in the game, as Townley converted a pair of free throws to deadlock the game at 54-54. Including those free throws, the Bearcats went on an 8-2 run in a span of 4:46.

Wegwerth put the Bearcats ahead for good when she made a lay up with 57 seconds remaining. Townley then made a key steal with 41 seconds left and was immediately fouled by Manhattan. She then sank two more free throws to give Binghamton a 62-48 lead with 39 seconds to go.

Freshman Jen Blues (Overland Park, Kan./ Blue Valley North) and Rachel Laws (Wyncote, Pa./ Cheltenham) connected on a combined total of four field goals down the stretch to seal the win.
