Immediate Release: February 19, 2004 Contact: David Berman (berman@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-2956 Binghamton picked seventh in America East coaches poll Official Conference Release BOSTON, Mass.--Defending champion Boston University received all seven first-place votes and was picked to repeat atop the America East Conference in a preseason coaches poll, the conference announced today. The Terriers beat out New Hampshire (40) and conference newcomer UMBC (35) in the top three in the poll. Binghamton received a total of eight points and was selected to finish seventh. The Bearcats return 10 starters and are adding a talented group of 12 newcomers as they head into their third season of varsity play. Binghamton will open the 2004 season on March 6 with a noon contest at Columbia. |
