Immediate Release: November 17, 2005 VESTAL, N.Y. - In the program's first home match in nearly two years, Binghamton wrestling lost to visiting Slippery Rock 36-6 in front of 549 fans Thursday night at West Gym. "It was an outstanding crowd," head coach Tony Robie said. "I take my hat off to the local wrestling community." Freshmen Nate Patterson (Ontario, N.Y.) and Ed Bordas (Montgomery, N.Y.) scored BU's lone wins at 149 and heavyweight respectively. Patterson posted an 8-7 victory over Shawn Baglio and Bordas earned a 2-0 win over Matt Burkholder in the evening's final match. Patterson improved to 3-0 in duals and 5-1 overall. Bordas raised his record to 2-1 in duals and 6-3 overall. "Nate started off strong" Robie said. "If he kept the heat on, he could have won by more, but we'll take the win. And Eddie was solid on his feet. He's hard to score on. That's how he's going to win matches." The Bearcats return to action this Saturday at the East Stroudsburg Open. Slippery
