Bearcats defeated by Army, 36-6

MONTGOMERY, N.Y. - Army (1-0) won eight of the 10 bouts and scored a 36-6 victory over visiting Binghamton (1-2) in a dual held Tuesday night at Valley Central High School. The Black Knights used three pins and a technical fall to pile on the points.

Junior 141-pound Josh Ruff (Bainbridge, N.Y./Bainbridge-Guilford) scored one of BU's two wins on the night. Ruff earned a 2-0 decision over Rush Williams, raising his record to 6-2 on the season, 3-0 in duals. Ruff is 23-3 in career duals.

Senior 149-pound Beau Bruno (Mineola, N.Y.) posted a 9-7 decision over Anthony Dunkin to raise his record to 6-2 overall, 2-1 in duals.

The Bearcats lost three matches by two points.

Binghamton will next head to Boston to meet both Boston University and Bridgewater State on December 6.
