have six wrestlers ranked in CAA pre-season poll Binghamton has six individual wrestlers ranked in the pre-season poll released by the Colonial Athletic Association. As a team, BU is positioned sixth among the 11 team in the CAA. Junior Josh Ruff (Bainbridge, N.Y.), BU's returning NCAA qualifier, is the highest ranked Bearcat. He is ranked second at 141 pounds, behind only Rob Becker of George Mason. Ruff went 16-1 in duals last season, and scored a pin at the NCAA Championship to lift Binghamton into a 50th place national finish. Coach Mike Fusilli has four wrestlers ranked fourth at their respective weight class, and another ranked fifth. Senior Beau Bruno (Mineola, N.Y.) is fourth at 149, juniors Rob Sckalor (Chester, N.Y.) and Ryan Jantzen (Shoreham, N.Y.) are fourth at 157 and 165, respectively, and sophomore Derman Lewis (Schenectady, N.Y.) is fourth at 197. Junior Jerome Joe (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) is ranked fifth at 184. The Bearcats open their season on November 15 at the Empire State Open, hosted by Cortland.
