| Binghamton, Maine play to scoreless tie |

Score Junior forward Tracy Kasmarcik (Binghamton, N.Y.) had the most opportunities to break the deadlock, as she fired six shots, three of which were saved by Maine goalkeeper Naomi Welsh. The Black Bears outshot Binghamton 24-14 but senior goalkeeper Lauren Cherry (Wyncote, Pa.) stopped 11 shots to preserve the shutout. Cherry has now recorded two consecutive shutouts and has gone 225:24 without allowing a goal. The game was a physical battle, with each team receiving three yellow cards. |
