Immediate Release: September 5, 2004 The Red Storm opened the scoring just 4:50 into the contest on a goal by Natasha Lee. Lee also scored the second goal at the 35:09 mark. "We played decent in the first half but got unorganized twice and they scored both times," head coach Jeff Leightman said. "We were pressing in second half but just couldn't do it. It's kind of disappointing but St. John's is a good team." The Bearcats were outshot 16-9. Sophomore keeper Kristie Bowers (Rochester, N.Y.) recorded six saves for Binghamton, which returns to action on Friday with its home opener - a 4 p.m. date with Lehigh. |
