Kushnirovich advances to second round of ITA East Regional Complete Results BLACKSBURG, W.V. - Freshman Lya Kushnirovich (Brooklyn, N.Y./Brooklyn Technical) of the women's tennis team advanced out of the first round at the ITA East Regional, which was hosted by Virginia Tech. She won her opening match on Friday night 6-4, 6-3 before losing in the second round on Saturday 7-6 (7-2), 6-2. Kushnirovich also teamed up with junior Alexis Brill (Syosset, N.Y./ Syosset) in doubles action, but lost the first round match 8-1. The ITA East Regional concludes Binghamton's fall season.
