The awards were announced Tuesday (April 5). Hanegby earned a national ranking of #87 by the ITA in its March release. He becomes the first Binghamton tennis player to achieve a national ranking. Hanegby is 25-7 overall in 2004-05, and has won seven of his last eight matches. He is 15-4 in dual matches. Altinay is currently 24-4 at No. 1 singles, having defeated Hartford's Anna Maria Mora 6-1, 6-0 on Sunday afternoon. The win gives her 15 wins in her last 16 matches. In Binghamton's 14 dual matches this season, Altinay is 13-1. She has been by far the best player on a Binghamton squad that is already five wins ahead of last season's pace (9-5 as opposed to 4-10). |
