shut out by Princeton 7-0
PRINCETON,
N.J.--On the road, Binghamton (3-4) ran into a strong Princeton
(5-1) squad and was defeated 7-0. The Tigers won all three doubles
matches and all six singles matches in cruising to the win. At
first singles, freshman Justina Hakimi (Manhasset, N.Y.)
took her Princeton opponent to a third set, falling 5-7, 6-2,
7-6. Hakimi also played at first doubles with sophomore Alexis
Brill (Syosset, N.Y.), falling 8-4. The second doubles tandem
of junior Janine Sadaka (Great Neck, N.Y.) and senior
Amy Weissberg (Syosset, N.Y.) played a strong match before
dropping a narrow 9-8 decision.
The Bearcats return to the court on Sunday afternoon with a 1
p.m. match against Rutgers.
