  • The University Library System comprises several units, including:

    • The Glenn G. Bartle Library , named after the University’s first president, contains collections in the humanities, social sciences, government documents and mathematical and computer sciences. Additionally, Bartle Library houses the Fine Arts Collection (focusing on works relating to art, music, theater and cinema) and course reserves.

    • Special Collections, located on the second floor of Bartle Library, houses rare books, manuscript and archival collections, sound recordings, and the University Archives. Special Collections also contains the Bernard F. Huppe Reading Room and the Link Conference Room.

    • The Science Library contains materials in science and engineering disciplines, as well as the map collection.

    • The University Downtown Center's (UDC) Library-Information Commons located at 67 Washington Street in Binghamton, houses books, government documents, and current periodicals to support the College of Community and Public Affairs (which includes social work, human development, and public administration).

    • The Library Annex@Conklin, located at 400 Corporate Parkway in Conklin, NY, houses materials in the Libraries’ collections and is open to the public.

    • Members of the local community are welcome to use the Binghamton University Libraries' collection of 2.4 million volumes; 93,400 journal holdings (electronic and print) and 1.9 million microform, map and multimedia items. For Courtesy Borrowers, access to licensed databases, e-books and other online licensed material is only available in the Libraries.
