Binghamton University Forum

Established in 1977 as the Harpur Forum, the Binghamton University Forum is a membership organization devoted to strengthening the bond between the University and the community. It serves local business, professional and community leaders by hosting events that encourage new thinking, generate discussion and give members the chance to meet some of the most remarkable people alive today. Forum events also provide a rich environment for personal and professional networking.

Programs Offered:
  • An important component of the Binghamton University Forum is its Distinguished Speaker Series, which consists of breakfast and luncheon meetings throughout the academic year; the Forum also invites nationally and internationally renowned speakers to come to the University campus to deliver keynote dinner speeches on a variety of topics.

  • The organization provides a forum for the University and Foundation President to update local leaders on important academic and fund-raising issues and works as a vehicle to introduce community people to the University and channel them into other areas of interest and support and identifies and cultivates community resources.

  • It also provides opportunity for interaction with campus and community members and spotlights campus academics, programs, faculty and students.
