Allison Alden was an invited speaker at the annual Chancellor's conference-- SUNY and the Vibrant Community: Experiential Education Summit on August 7, 2012. She provided strategies for successful submission of the US President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll application, including gathering data.
Allison Alden gave the keynote address for the faculty institute at Mercy College on March 12, 2013. The address focused on how to support faculty involvement in the areas of community and service learning
Allison Alden presented on the unique ways colleges can effectively engage with communities pre- and post-disasters at a symposium for the NY Metro Area Coalition to Support Community Engagement (NYMAPS) (includes Long Island) on April 12, 2013.
