Project Description
Our organization provides free prescription medication to the uninsured and underinsured. This position involves conducting face-to-face interviews with clients to determine their eligibility for our medications, prescription assistance programs through pharmaceutical companies, state funded insurance programs (Medicaid, Family Health Plus, Child Health Plus) as well as the local hospitals' financial assistance programs. The position also includes processing prescription assitance programs, obtaining orders from physician offices and interacting with pharmaceutical companies. Other aspects of this position include some crisis intervention, linking clients with local agencies and resources and advocacy. Necessary skills include compassion, good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, advocacy and data entry.
