Roberson Museum and Science Center is a regional museum of art and history, and a center for science and technology education serving the Susquehanna Valley region of New York and Pennsylvania. Roberson Museum and Science Center engages people of all ages and backgrounds by providing community relevant exhibitions and programs in art, history, and science education.
The intern will assist the Director of Education in a variety of Education department tasks. Good research skills, neat handwriting, and attention to detail are important. Duties may include preparing supplies for group visits, data entry, curriculum development, organizing, or other tasks associated with upcoming exhibitions and programs. Interns may also interact with visiting groups, or assist with summer camps. Knowledge of Local History, Art, Science and general computer skills are helpful but not required. Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Major/student status preferred: American History, Art History, Anthropology, Archaeology, Education, Human Development, or various Science majors are helpful, but not mandatory. Mature attitude rather than specific academic status is important.
