Project Description
Broome Energy Conservation Corps interns will be trained to conduct Education and Outreach in the community on the opportunities for community-scale retrofitting of homes for energy -- cutting carbon, creating green jobs, and stimulating the local economy.This is made possible through New York’s innovative Green Jobs Green New York Program. Activities include public presentations before campus and community groups of all kinds, organizing public events, tabling at events, creating marketing videos, working on educational materials and information systems and more! The summer internship is paid, while the spring and fall internship (listed separately) is unpaid and academic credit is optional. This spring applications for both summer and fall are being accepted concurrently. The internship is hosted at the Energy Leadership Program at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County.
