Featured Speakers:

Dr. Patricia Bomba and Esther Greenhouse, MS, CAPS, CGP
Dr. Patricia Bomba is a nationally recognized palliative care and end-of-life expert who designs and oversees the implementation of community projects. She is committed to raising awareness of elder abuse as a public health issue among professionals and consumers. The leader of the Community-Wide End-of-Life/Palliative Care Initiatives, Dr. Bomba's projects include: an Advance Care Planning booklet; Community Conversations on Compassionate Care (CCCC), an interactive community workshop and video focused on an Advance Care Planning; the Medical Orders for Life Sustaining Treatments (MOLST) program, and a community website, Prior to 2000, Dr. Bomba was engaged in the private practice of Internal Medicine and Geriatrics.

Esther Greenhouse is an environmental gerontologist—a specialist on the impact of the built environment on older adults.  Nationally recognized as an expert on Universal Design and Aging in Place, Ms. Greenhouse is leading the paradigm shift for enabling design to be viewed as a missing variable in public health.   An award-winning instructor and speaker, she advises on the design of products, housing, healthcare environments, and communities.  She teaches the AARP/NAHB Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) courses, wrote portions of the Livable NY Resource Manual, and recently served on the American Planning Association's Aging Policy Guide Task Force.  She has been an invited contributor to the book Independent for Life, the 4-part PBS series "Design for a Lifetime", and the design of the nation's first elder-focused emergency department.

Who should support the Summit?

Organizations whose products and services are geared toward assisting care and case managers are encouraged to participate. Vendors and sponsors will have access to some of the most active and influential individuals in the field. A variety of advertising, vendor and sponsorship options gives all individuals and groups the chance to increase knowledge about the benefits of their products and services.
All attendees will receive "passports" as incentives to visit every vendor for a sticker or stamp. Vendors may also bring a door prize item that can be drawn from your table.

Our next-door neighbor, Holiday Inn Arena Binghamton is offering a fabulous $99/per night Summit rate. This rate will be held until May 14, 2014. After May 1, 2014, we cannot guarantee room or rate. Early check in is not guaranteed, nor is it always available but will be given when possible.

Our "just down the block neighbor," DoubleTree by Hilton Binghamton is offering another great Summit rate of $107/per night with Breakfast included in the rate. Visit and enter the date of check in and check out and then see the option to enter a special code: enter the code "CAR". The $107 rate will come up with the specific room type.
