Center for Learning and Teaching

Initiatives

The Center for Learning and Teaching’s Instructional Design Services (IDS) supports some University-wide initiatives through the Office of the Provost and the Division of Academic Affairs. The Teaching Online Certification Program (established in 2015) is sponsored by the Office of the Provost and aims to increase the quality and impact of Binghamton University’s online learning efforts through an intensive three to four month program that culminates in a quality review process. The Digital Fluency Initiative is supported, overall, by the Division of Academic Affairs and aims to promote concepts of digital fluency in curriculum and course development so that our graduates, and faculty, are more prepared to work in an ever-increasing digital world.

More information about these initiatives can be obtained through the links on the menu to the right.

The Center for Learning and Teaching also regularly conducts pilots of various educational technology solutions to help inform future learning and teaching needs of our faculty and students. Past pilot information and final reports can be found via the Past Pilots link on the menu to the right, in addition to current and upcoming pilots.
