Binghamton University now has a chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda, the non-traditional student honor society! The Binghamton University chapter name is Beta Upsilon Alpha. Non-traditional students in the top 20% of their class with a GPA over 3.2 pursuing their first undergraduate degree at Binghamton University will be invited to join after their second semester of classes.
This is such a great way to recognize the growing number of non-traditional students on campus. The CEO office has been working on this for some time, so it is really exciting to see it come to fruition.
Alpha Sigma Lambda offers scholarships to non-traditional students, attends a number of annual conferences and offers a newsletter twice a year highlighting new chapter inductees and student achievement. Alpha Sigma Lambda also has a LinkedIn group for members to join in order to network.
Keep your eyes peeled for more information on Beta Upsilon Alpha, the Binghamton University chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda!
