Professor Thomas Dublin, Director Center Office: Academic B G10 Phone: (607) 777-6769 In the 2002-2003 academic year, with support from a "Teaching American History"(TAH) grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the Center launched a graduate-level Certificate Program for the Teaching of American History and began offering after-school professional development workshops in conjunction with area Teachers' Centers, and sponsoring week-long summer workshops in American History for area teachers and librarians. The Center is now operating on its third TAH grant, offering a range of professional development activities in U.S. History for area teachers. These include one-week summer workshops, book-circles during the academic year, a fall history workshop, and a spring peer-review conference Area teachers and Binghamton University graduate students interested in participating in any of the Center's programs should contact the Center's Project Coordinator, Thomas Wirth, at (607) 777-6769 or via email.
