SUMMER 2004 WORKSHOP:

SOCIAL AND POLITICAL CHANGE IN THE 19TH CENTURY

July 12-16, 2004

Workshop Facilitators: In this workshop we will discuss content and develop teaching strategies for topics of nineteenth century reform -- such as abolition, education, temperance, suffrage, the labor movement, and populism. We will examine how these and other issues of reform developed in the nineteenth century, and we will consider their legacy in the twentieth century.
