Why Urban Forestry?

Urban forestry looks at the broad impacts trees have on our urban environment, let it be in the utility strip, parks, front and back yards or vacant lots. All of these areas play a key role in providing valuable space needed by trees to grow in a sea of roads, sidewalks, buildings and parking lots.

There are many benefits to planting trees in an urban environment. Planting a tree will not only affect the owner or the person who planted the tree but also the many other people who are directly and indirectly benefited by the tree. Some of the main benefits of urban trees and trees in general are their aesthetic, social, economic and environmental values.
