Sporting EventsIn addition to being the home of Bearcats basketball, the Events Center’s design allows flexibility to host a variety of sporting events. The contained arena playing surface equals a full-sized soccer field in size and can accommodate four practice basketball, volleyball or tennis courts. The facility has welcomed many sporting events throughout the years, including in summer 2004 when the Empire State Games came to Binghamton University. The Events Center has hosted the 2005 Choice Hotels International and 2006 America East Conference Men's basketbal tournaments, the 2007 America East Womens Championship tournament and the 2008 America East Men's Basketball Tournament.
