Do you have a required minimum GRE score?

GRE Test Scores

While The Graduate School does not have a required minimum GRE score, individual academic programs may have specific GRE score requirements.  We encourage you to contact your academic program of interest for additional information. View academic programs and contact information.

Binghamton University’s graduate students consistently score above the national average in all sections of the GREs. 

Academic Test Profile for Admitted Graduate Students for Fall 2013 (all programs):

  • Average GRE Verbal Score: 150
  • Average GRE Quantitative Score: 158
  • Average GRE Writing Score: 3.4

Admission to the Graduate School is competitive, and official test scores provide insight into academic capabilities and graduate study success. The majority of academic programs require GRE scores. Learn more about test score requirements.
