Ask a Question

Our Best Response:

Do you have interdisciplinary programs?

Interdisciplinary Programs

Binghamton University has several interdisciplinary graduate degree programs. Bioengineering, Materials Science & Engineering, and Industrial & Systems Engineering are just a few of the graduate departments that incorporate multiple academic disciplines.

Alternatively, the Dean of the Graduate School may approve a proposal to construct an interdisciplinary doctoral program that does not fit into an existing degree plan and that may involve several graduate programs with faculty from more than one department or school.

Students in traditionally defined degree programs have access to interdiscplinary research centers and graduate certificate programs, such as the Center for Advanced Microelectronics Manufacturing (CAMM) and the Institute for Evolutionary Studies (EVOS), that tap into the outstanding resources and partnerships that make Binghamton University a leader in graduate research and study.
